Song Division’s Asia-Pacific Music Director, Sam McNeill says the impact of composing an original song lasts forever because it becomes an anthem and part of an organisation’s culture.
Sam explains the way it works is that he or one of his colleagues takes over as MC during an event announcing that everyone is going to create an original song on the spot with the help of on-stage extremely versatile multi-talented musicians.
The credentials of these musicians are that they regularly tour and record with the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Silverchair and Keith Urban.
The band lets the audience decide on the style of music, come up with the chords, write the lyrics and arrange the song based on pre-determined conference themes or messages.
“It is a wonderful bonding experience because it involves everyone and they are always surprised how quick it is to write a song.
“When the words are up on a big screen and the band starts playing, the entire audience sings their hearts out,” he says.
Sam says the prime objective is to show clients how they can effectively communicate by providing inspiring and entertaining programs that enhance performance in any industry.
Founded in 2003 by Andy Sharpe, Song Division has proven to be one of the most successful team building programs ever devised having worked with over 40,000 people in 20 countries and in 10 different languages.
Clients like Virgin, Telstra, Pfizer and CBA have called upon Song Division to help communicate key messages to their employees and to their customers.
